Network engineers plan, construct and maintain networks so that they are optimized and operating efficiently. While network technicians, helpdesk technicians, and IT administrators solve daily IT troubleshooting issues, the network engineer manages the high-level task of designing and improving networks, essentially establishing the tech foundation for an organization. Daily responsibilities can include creating and implementing physical and wireless networks, researching and integrating new technologies.
